New this year:
We will be trying something new this year. Instead of first come first serve, your child will have up to 3 weeks to apply for a position. All applications will be reviewed by the committee and the head referee. Please click on one of the hyper links below. We will be accepting applications from Monday February 9th, 2026 up until Sunday March 8th, 2026. We will NOT be accepting any other application after March 8th, 2026 at midnight. If your child is accepted as a linemen/referee, they will be contacted by the head referee (Ethan) no later than Sunday April 5th, 2026 with a code for them to register. Registration fees for referees can be found below.
Please do NOT send us an email asking if your child has been accepted as a linesmen/referee. If they were NOT been contacted by April 5th, 2026, this will mean that they were not chosen for the 2026 soccer season. We will be selecting a certain number of new linemen/referees and returning linemen/referees.

Important: We are no longer affiliated with the OSA. If your child chooses to become a referee for the VESC, they must take the course we provide.
They will not be permitted to referee any games with other Clubs in Sudbury (OSA rules). If they take the OSA referee course, they will not be permitted to referee games for the VESC.
Mini: applies to children who are 12 as of March 31st, 2026.
Entry: applies to children who are 14 as of March 31st, 2026.
If you are a RETURNING referee but NEVER registered for the ENTRY course, please register as a New ENTRY (full field) referee since there is new training to complete.
